Second Year Gallery
In the second year of this course students begin to specialise their creative talent and knowledge in a specialism of their choice. This is also a great opportunity to prepare them for employment or further education.

Level 2
L2 Media is an opportunity to explore an array of media vocations through a diverse range of media projects.
This year we made, photographic photograms, photocopy art, digital art, multimedia zines, short films using video and animation, posters, flyers and websites. We explored and experimented through making things by hand and digitally becaming familiar in the skills, processes and approaches that are integral to the creative journey.

A talent for illustration and animation this recent project to produce a series of Comic Front Covers demonstrates a strong ability for immersive compositions.

Applying a great deal of thought to every project, there is a process that brings a graphic clarity and originality to his interpretations including these re-imagined football logos.

An enormous talent for drawing and painting driven by an inquisitive and inventive mind, images take form through the simplicity of shape and evoke much emotion.

With a strong interest in Anime animation, a flavour of the distinct style can be found in much of his work.

With the efficiency of a professional in his approach this early design hints at an entrepreneur in the making.

A talent for illustration and animation always with an injection of humour, this quirky illustration is reminiscent of Quentin Blakes’ many illustrated stories.

With a flair for storytelling through illustration and film, an instinctive approach to finding creative solutions often have us searching for their inner meaning.

With many years taking photographs and shooting film his recent response to our experiences under lockdown demonstrate a flair for storytelling through the photographic image.

With an eye for graphic interpretation many designs show an efficient use of space, such as this logo for an established Dog Training company.

A playful approach combined with an obsession for Star Wars resulted in this, one of many very fitting photogram studies.

With a specialist interest in 3D Modelling and animation, an aptitude for the technical and a strong eye for detail, this Mercedes was reproduced faithfully using 3D Modelling software Blender.

An all-rounder, able to meet any media challenge within the given schedule. This recent project not only highlights a strong social compass but her strength at creative problem solving.

This topographic experience demonstrates an originality and a steely determination to come up with an imaginative outcome.

A fluid approach that acts on instinct first and reason after, often creating bursts of delightful design reminiscent of Joan Miro.
